These were produced by the German authorities during WW2. Printed in lithography on wavy-line watermarked paper, they are easily recognised by the large gauge 11 perforation. Design changes include the Russian hammer and sickle and the 'Star of David'. Superb fresh 'used'.
Cylinder 105 dot exists in three states. This scarce superb unmounted mint example is State (iii) where control has been 'completely retouched' as is stated in SG Kings Specialised, that is, all of 'F39' has been retouched in places.

1940 1d Scarlet SPECIMEN Type 9 Control G40 3(no dot) single. Gum has been disturbed and appears 'flat' - and therefore possibly regummed. There are two tiny soils confined to margin on reverse. Comes without certificate. SG Spec QCom3s which is currently unpriced.
